#AddiStrong Day at Lakeside PONY Baseball

It was Addi’s Day, Saturday, at Emerald PONY Baseball in El Cajon, California, to open up the PONY Section Tournament in San Diego County. Before Game #1, a very special girl was recognized on the field. Watch the full video here.

Last summer, Addi Nuzzo was diagnosed with aplastic anemia. Addi spent the better part of the last 10 months in the hospital. Nearly three months ago, Addi received a bone marrow transplant. Signs are good, at this time, on the road to recovery.

Addi has spent most of her young eight years at Lakeside PONY. Her mom Jennifer is the President of Lakeside PONY, while her dad holds another board position and manages a team.

West Zone, SoCal Division, Southwest Region Director Keith Spencer organized "Addi Day" recognizing and presenting Addi with a number of PONY gifts. Most important was the Life Champion banner, which was designed especially for her. She will hang it proudly in her bedroom.

Our PONY family has missed Addi over the past year and are in her corner as she battles this terrible disease.
