PONY Baseball & Softball was Presented the Xavier Mateu Award of Excellence

PONY Baseball and Softball was presented the Xavier Mateu Award of Excellence from the Confederation of European Baseball at the recent Congress in Vilnius, Lithuania. 

This new award is selected and presented by the CEB Executive Committee in honor of our friend and colleague Xavier Mateu from Spain. 

The award will honor those individual persons or groups who in the EC’s opinion, have made an outstanding contribution and achieved a high standard of excellence in their work, and which is deemed by the CEB Executive Committee to be significant value to the growth and development of European Baseball in any given year. 

PONY President Abraham Key was on hand to accept this prestigious award from the CEB President Didier Seminet, Luis Melero from the Spanish Federation and PONY European Zone Director Jan Bagin and Riccardo Fraccari World Baseball and Softball Confederation (WBSC) president and Jan Bagin.
